Thanks to The Loom Merchant, the Heritage is the only inkle loom that has a shed lock system. You no longer need a third hand to perform some weaving techniques and it also allows the handicapped to enjoy the art of weaving.

The Heritage Inkle Loom uses a paddle tensioner with a fine and coarse adjustment allowing for better mechanical advantage for the young and handicapped.

The Heritage's open shed area and paddle tensioner allows the shed area to remain constant, affording a better weaving experience, easy access, and eliminating crowding of the shed area.

Until now, breast pegs were prone to bending under excessive tension of the warp. The Heritage Inkle Loom has a breast peg support, removable for warping, helping to eliminate this problem.

The most stable inkle loom on the market. The Heritage is very stable due to the design and a full base, while others have a small foot onto which they sit and tip over can be a problem.
